People ask me all the time what my favorite subject is to photograph - celebrities, weddings, babies, seniors?
As I ponder that question I realize what I love most might not be the actual subject I am photographing but rather their story.
I am so grateful to be a part of documenting a lifetime of memories for the beautiful souls I’m honored to meet.
For example, I met Nadine and Jelena, beautiful twin sisters, when they were 16 for their “Sweet 16” photoshoot. I’ve since followed them through life capturing their high school senior portraits, their college graduations, their engagements, weddings, maternity, and baby’s first year photos, and will soon share in the excitement of their precious one’s birthdays!
I sit back and think about how blessed I am to have this opportunity to share in the best of people’s lives!
Also, what is so special to me is that my clients become lifelong friends as I capture and preserve their stories alongside them.
Alysha is the perfect example of that. I met with her to plan her wedding, then to shoot her maternity photos, and onto documenting her son's first year, as well as all the special moments in between. And more to come!
THAT is what drives me in what I do.
I am honored and overwhelmed with gratitude when I look at the memories I'm able to preserve alongside these families, as wells as many others, and the friendships that develop along the way.
